Did you know they give an award for Oddest Book Title?  I didn’t until now!  Here are the contenders:

Baboon Metaphysics by Dorothy Dorothy L Cheney and Robert M Seyfarth (University of Chicago Press)

Curbside Consultation of the Colon by Brooks D Cash (SLACK Incorporated)

The Large Sieve and its Applications by Emmanuel Kowalski (Cambridge University Press)

Strip and Knit with Style by Mark Hordyszynski (C&T)

Techniques for Corrosion Monitoring
by Lietai Yang (Woodhead)

The 2009-2014 World Outlook for 60-milligram Containers of Fromage Frais by Professor Philip M Parker (Icon Group International)

And… leave a comment with the odd title of a book you own!

Mine:  Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging by Louise Rennsion
(a book I read for my YA lit class)

  1. I can’t think of any really odd titles in my library – but I voted for Curbside Consultation of the Colon. Intriguing (and icky) idea, if the colon they’re referring to is anatomical
(didn’t Bill Safire once say he’d seen a sign that said “Eyes Examined While You Wait”?)
